Friend of the pod Steve Wiseman stopped by to talk about his new book – Duke Men’s Basketball: An Illustrated Timeline. I got a copy recently and read it over two days. This is a great history of Blue Devils basketball and I recommend it to everyone. As Steve explained it to me, it’s essentially a coffee table book that anyone can pick up and thumb through. It has a lot of interesting nuggets and facts that fans will love including some fascinating recruiting battles.
In addition to talking basketball, me and Steve share our thoughts on what Manny Diaz & Co. are doing in Durham. We discuss his legacy and where he compares to other Duke head coaches. While it’s too early to get into this, if Coach Diaz can keep Duke rolling, he could end up as one of the greatest coaches in program history.
Please call the pod (540-632-0160), leave a message and you’ll get in an episode.
Let me know what you think about what we think in the comments, on Mastodon, on Reddit, on Instagram, or on Bluesky.
As always, Go Duke!
